Wednesday 12th August was mid week match day on Fir Tree Pond and it was great to fish in warm, calm, sunny weather (It’s not always windy at Amalwhidden) Results:

3. Mike Blowman Peg 8 35lb 8oz

Sunday 9th August was open match day and despite the bad weather (Again!!) Heron Lake fished really well. I caught well all day and thought I had about 50lb in one net so started using a second. When I weighed in, my main carp net had 67lb in it AAARRRGGHHH!!! So I was only allowed the top limit of 55lb, adding up was never one of my strenghts, here are the results:

2. Neil Hodder Peg 19 73lb (Should of been 85lb if I can count)
3. Les Pearce Peg 3 36lb

Well if the weather was a bit iffy last fortnight it was dredful this Sunday, strong winds all day and heavy rain at the start of the day but a good match, 7 fished so the bonus £100 was up for grabs here are the results:

John caught mostly on pellet on the pole in the margin, and paste on top 3 in front. He also had a few fish off the island on the feeder.

The weather on Sunday was pretty wet and windy but 5 of us braved it on Heron Lake and it actually fished well, here are the results:

Thursday 25th June saw our first evening match at Amalwhidden, which was held on Fir Tree pond, here are the results:

This Sunday had 7 anglers fishing, so the £100 bonus was up for grabs, here are the results:

Andy Dare came close this Sunday with 91lb (well done Andy), but the £100 bonus purse is still there to be won. Our next match is Sunday 28th June if you want the chance of winning the bonus!!

We had a mid-week match this Wednesday, 9 fished on Heron Lake and there were some good weights, here are the results:

Lee (pictured) fished white pop-up boilie on method feeder to the island and paste and pellet in the margin on the pole and he caught well on both, bagging 2 ghosties on both methods. Well done Lee, I’ll get you next time!!!!

Sunday 3rd May Marazion Angling Club had a match on Fir Tree pond, here are the results:

1. Brian White 49lb 7oz
2. Mike Bennett 43lb 8oz
3. Les Pearce 36lb 8oz

Brian fished peg 3 on Fir Tree pond just inside the gate, he fished sweetcorn and paste on a 5 metre line for a net of carp and skimmers.
