The £100 bonus is still up for grabs as there was only 5 fishing on Heron Lake (minimum 7 on a lake), but great weight Alex, well done.

We had a mid week match again this Wednesday, here are the results:

Alex fished 6 & 8mm fishery pellet on a top 2 pole kit for most of his fish from off the edge of the lily pad, he also picked up a few fish down both margins.

This Sunday we had 10 fishing so fished 2 sections on 2 lakes, here are the results:

Section1 (Fir Tree Pond)

2. Chris Symons Peg 9 39lb 4oz

Roger fished a long line towards the island feeding and fishing 6mm fishery pellets, he picked up a few better fish in the margin during the match but most fell to the long line tactics.

Section 2 (Heron Lake)

1. Adrian Holland Peg 5 89lb 5oz
2. Alex Bradley Peg 9 86lb 8oz

Adrian fished top 2 pole sections in front, feeding and fishing 8mm pellets for most of his catch, he also picked up a few on the feeder from the island and added a few fish to his total from the margins.

Mid week match on Fir Tree Pond, here are the results:

1. Roger Baker Peg 7 58lb 11oz
2. Alex Bradley Peg 2 53lb 2oz

Another good close match, Roger caught well using a top 2 pole kit, fishing corn and feeding corn, he also caught a few fish from both margins for his winning weight.

Last Sunday had 11 fishing on Heron Lake, here are the results:

3. Jeff Thorpe Peg 13 39lb 3oz
4. Neil Hodder Peg 6 38lb 14oz

We had 11 fishing so paid top 4, and as you can see it was very close, only 1 fish the difference between 1st and 4th so a very close competitive match. Adrian fished long and short margin lines with 8mm and 6mm fishery pellets. Thanks to all who came.

On Wednesday we had a mid week match on Heron Lake,here are the results:

8 fished and there were good weights alround, but you can tell the nights are getting colder as it fished a little bit slower than it did the previous weekend. Thanks to all who came and see you on Sunday 6th September for our next open.

At last, some decent weather for a match, here are the results:

Josh started on a long pole and caught a few small carp but it was a bit slow, so he switched to a feeded cast to the shallow shelf around the island and started having a fish every put in, after about 2 hours the feeder line slowed up and he started fishing pellet shallow down the right hand margin and was having a fish every put in. He switched between the margins and feeder for the last hour to scoop 1st.
