Today’s match was a bit of a result for one person! We fished on heron lake and Peg 9 was drawn as the golden peg which stood at £75. Chris Symons stuck his hand in the draw bag first and no prizes for guessing what came out! We had 7 fishing today so the £100 bonus was also up for grabs. The hot, bright, still conditions were a real contrast from the wind and rain last Sunday, the fish weren’t settled and were mostly just cruising in the sun rather than feeding and Chris spent most of the day mugging fish on pellet, Here are the results:
1st Christopher Symons peg 9 102lb 1oz
2nd Adrian Holland peg 5 49lb
3rd Roger Baker peg 1 46lb 5oz
Chris walked away with 1st place £45, golden peg pot £75 and the £100 bonus for a total of £220. Well done Chris, enjoy spending you winnings on IOS and thanks to everyone who came.
Next Sunday’s open will be fished on heron lake and the golden peg pot will restart. We will be anouncing details of our new bonus pot soon so watch this space for details. If you would like to fish next Sunday’s open please book.

Mixed fortunes in today’s match on Heron lake. We had 12 fishing, so again we paid a top 2 overall and 2 section winners. The golden peg was 18 but wasn’t won so £58 roles over to next Sunday. Fishing was a bit patchy at the start except for Adrian Holland and Nigel Taylor who we’re both catching well from the off. The breeze that got up through the afternoon definitely played a part in how some pegs fished. Tony Jose had a section win from peg 20 even though he lost approximately 50lb in the lily pads, but managed to weigh in 38lb 10oz. Overall it fished well and of note was Andy Partridge’s net of silvers that weighed 43lb 2oz, here are the results:
1st Nigel Taylor peg 9 82lb 1oz
2nd Adrian Holland peg 16 77lb 11oz
3rd Andy Partridge peg 18 69lb 3oz (section winner)
4th Neil Hodder peg 5 51lb 12oz
Well done Nigel on the win and thanks to everyone who came.
Next Sunday’s open will be on Fir Tree pond but you will need to book to fish.

We had a good turn out for today’s match and we had a junior fishing with us today so he was given the honour of drawing the golden peg and 1 came out of the bag. When Adrian Holland drew inform peg 1 he literally ran to it! But with the recent changeable weather and the rain we’ve had lately fishing was difficult and the fish were not settled. Craig Parkes was very surprised with a section win on his first open match despite only weighing 19lb, this was due to the top 2 weights coming from his section, the moral of the story, always weigh in!! And Tony Jose got back to winning ways from peg 17. Here are the results:
1st Tony Jose peg 17 66lb 10oz
2nd John Maundrill peg 15 43lb
3rd Neil Hodder peg 5 40lb 4oz
4th Mike O Gorman peg 3 34lb 13oz
Tony fished a top kit in the edge with 8mm pellets for most of his catch. Well done Tony and thanks to everyone who came.
Our next open match will be next Sunday on Heron Lake.

Today we had 2 matches running. The Culdrose lads were fishing on Heron lake and had a good day, with some decent weights had. We ran our open on Fir tree and it was a hard day. After 2 days of heavy rain the water was cooler and the fish were not settling. John “The Venue Expert” Maundrill was top weight, a relieved Roger Baker just squeaked a third by 4oz and Paul Glanville had the curse of the golden peg, again! Although weights were a bit down it was very close:
Fir tree pond
1st John Maundrill peg 15 37lb 7oz
2nd Tony Jose peg 8 25lb 12oz
3rd Roger Baker peg 5 25lb 2oz
4th Neil Hodder peg 12 24lb 14oz
Heron Lake
1st Craig Parkes peg 17 65lb 5oz
2nd Tony Crocker peg 15 51lb 14oz
3rd Kevin Waldon peg 11 47lb 10oz
Well done to John and Craig on winning your matches and thanks to everyone who came.
Next Sunday’s open will be on Heron lake, we already have a few booked and there is £37 in the golden peg pot. If you would like to fish the next open please book.

Another close match on Heron lake today. With 10 fishing that added another £10 to the golden peg pot. Paul Glandville was lucky enough to draw it but unluckly for Paul, Heron Lake is becoming a top kit grave yard for him smashing one in three places off peg 20, up until then he was doing well.
Ricky Dennis went for a dip in peg 9 looking for a lost side tray, not sure if he found it!! And a quick mention to Roger Baker who yet again narrowly missed a section win!! Oh and Aide Holland, you need to learn to add up!! Here are the results:
1st Adrian Holland peg 17 66lb 15oz
2nd Ricky Dennis peg 9 60lb 2oz
Section winners
Christopher Symons peg 3 51lb
John Maundrell peg 15 49lb 6oz
Well done Aide on the win today, its been awhile and thanks to everyone who came.
Next Sunday’s open will be on Fir tree pond as Heron Lake is closed for a club match.
Great days fishing with a good bunch of lads.

What a match today, where to start! We had 10 fishing so the £100 bonus was up for grabs. We started a golden peg today which everyone paid into, this was peg 9 where Jon Wykes drew but fish just didn’t want to be there today, unfortunately for Jon, so £10 rolls over to next week’s match. Alex Bradley drew peg 1 and we all knew he would get close to a ton off that peg today, but none of us thought he would get so close, again!!! Roger Baker missed a section win by 2lb 8oz from an inform Mike Bennets. Fish were being caught from just about every peg on the lake and with a total of 603lb 6oz being caught, it was a good day, here are the results:
1st Alex Bradley peg 1 99lb 5oz
2nd Chris Symons peg 3 84lb 13oz
Section winners
Mike Bennets peg 11 73lb 12oz
Mike O Gorman peg 13 69lb 10oz
5th Roger Baker Rachel Baker 71lb 4oz
6th Paul Glanville peg 17 59lb 1oz
Well done Alex on winning the match but can’t quite believe you come that close…… twice. Thanks to everyone who came I hope you enjoyed the day.
Next Sundays match will be on Fir tree, please book if you would like to fish.

Today’s match was fished on Heron Lake and it looks like peg 19 is back in form! I think the changeable weather may of played a factor today as weights were a bit lower than last week but it still fished well with only 4lb splitting the top 2, here are the results :
1st Mike Bennets peg 19 67lb
2nd Christopher Symons peg 15 63lb 1oz
3rd Neil Hodder peg 17 56lb 2oz
Well done Mike nice to see you at the top of the leader board.
Thanks to everyone who came.
Our next match will be on Fir tree pond next Sunday.

I can’t quite believe how hot it was today and with a lot of fish cruising up in the water I thought it would fish hard but in fact it fished well with weights well spread around the lake.
1st Neil Hodder peg 19 75lb 15oz
2nd Chris Symons peg 17 66lb 15oz (Pictured Left)
3rd John Maundrill peg 9 53lb 14oz
4th Adrian Holland peg 15 44lb 2oz (Pictured Right)
Chris won the fathers day case of Stella for coming second and Paul decided to go for a dip! Shame you never found your top kit mate!
Thanks to everyone who came. Our next match will be on Heron lake next Sunday.

Today was a silver’s only match held on Heron Lake. The skimmers seemed a bit elusive today, although some were caught most weights were made up by lots of small roach and typically no one avoided the odd carp and a smashed rig or 3! Here are the results:
1st Mark Charnell peg 18 26lb 2oz
2nd Alex Bradley peg 8 23lb 5oz
Section winners
Billy Arch peg 6 20lb 15oz
Nigel Taylor peg 20 18lb 7oz
Well done Sharky and thanks to everyone who came I hope you enjoyed it for a change.
Our next match will be an open next Sunday possibly on Fir tree pond, depending on numbers

We had 5 lads from white acres come and fish today’s open which was pegged on Heron Lake and considering there was 12 fishing and the Saturday Boy’s had been on the same lake the day before it fished well. We had an overall top three and two section winner’s, here are the results:
